    Default Crankin Saline 5/7

I figured I had better go back today with the weather forcast lookin bad for the rest of the week. There was a little rise sense last week and the lake was a little murkey and the water temp was up to 76* at lunch time. Fishing was tuff pulling crankbaits with all the sylvania drifting in the breeze. The bait of choice was the C87 a flicker shad bait in bone white with orange belly pulled slow .8 to 1.3 mph. Still had plenty of small fish, caught 21 kept 6 big ones. I left my phone on the kitchen table this morning so no Spot pictures but I'll post one before I clean them tomorrow.

Nice Chip! We went yesterday bc of the weather also. Only had 6 bass and 3 big bream though. Fished with a buddy so I didn't want to show him all my spots but I don't think it would have mattered yesterday. They were tight lipped!

Don't look good for the home team. When I went to bed there was 4 1/4" in the guage at 3am I woke to a lightning strike, checked again and it was topped out at 6" and still raining. The water was back up on my cement porch, may have to abandon ship this time.

Skippa, unfortunately, you are right. The level is currently at 49' and is projected to rise above 50' in the next few days. We are supposed to get some relief, but that won't come until the latter part of the month. I'll be praying for everyone affected.
