Well my boat will turn 12 years old in a couple of months and has been used. It wasn’t bought to look at but to fish from and in doing so it’s gotten a little rough around the edges. Weather was nice yesterday and today so it was time to act. Sixty dollars of supplies and some elbow grease got it done. I started by stripping all the decals from the hull including the big “swoosh” and the Stratus star and name. I power buffed it first with Mequires compound and follow that with Turtle was scratch and swirl remover. I will follow that with some marine polish but first I need to put some decals but not sure where to get something nice and big. Of course I will have some Crappie.com and Louisiana decals on it.

I still have the top side to buff and will do that on the next stretch of good weather.

The original color red that was under the vinyl and the faded red below it. I never though it was that faded.
