I fish 7 days a week; some days for fish, everyday for men.

Check the water level so you can determine the current and clarity. If the level is up she will be a bit muddy. Only way to know is to go. Good luck. There is a YouTube channel called Its a Crappie Life with some guys who fish off the spillway. There you have access from the top of the spillway to behind the buoys where you can't take a boat. You can see them fishing up against the concrete wall catching quite a few. No where near the size you catch out in the open lake but a good place to scratch out a good mess. The guy doesn't want to say in the comments where he is but its Grand Bayou Spillway.

Good luck. In my past experiences I have found the fish to be just up on the flat away from the channel in 17.5 ft water depth.

I had to go to Farmerville yesterday -- The water is Muddier than usual with the Rain we have had.. If you look at Google Earth the water is cleaner up Corney towards Highway 2

Ended up with 10 but Several of them were pretty nice. Minnows only, about 17 to 19ft off the channel seemed to be the depth today for me.

Yes, sir. That's the way to do it. Nice mess of fish and a couple of toads for a bonus. Congratulations!
