Water looked clear, but hard to tell on overcast day. Only caught on 1/8 oz Roadrunner with Bobby Garland baby shad. Plane hair jig zero. Never use live bait. Hardheaded here.

It used to be really decent there a few years back and the water would get a little color to it. I like the exercise but can't stand to not even catch a perch or garfish. That Salvinia is so thick that lots of places I'm sure no light can get through and sunlight is needed for oxygen creation. As an added joy the Apple Snails are in there too. Last year they poisoned it so hard you couldn't find any grass at all for fish to hide in. One extreme to the other.

Thanks JR but you are too far East. I would be more of a trucker than a fisherman. I go for the relaxation mostly. In reality numbers of fish is pretty low priority since I give 90% away to neighbors, relatives, and strangers.

Some day I'm supposed to visit my brother in law in Mandeville and we will try some bayous near there, but he is always thinking salt water stuff.
