You're lucky you had the bridge to duck under.
Trying out some new combos today just for kicks. After a couple changes I finally found a winning combination.
Today's conditions were low stained water, with partly cloudy skies that gave way to thunder storms with plenty lightning around noon.
I fished in the rain for a while since the fish didn't mind (caught 3 in just a short time) I could hear some thunder in the distance but it didn't sound too bad.
That's where I messed up. I had to make a mad dash to the ramp in a sideways rain with lightning pouring down all around me.
I though Jesus was gonna call me home any second.
Beached the boat under a bridge near the ramp to wait it out till it was safe for me to load up.
I learnt my lesson today, when I hear thunder I'll be headed to the ramp....

Looks like a good mess of crappie, Jimmy. Is that the Hwy 2 bridge? It looks familiar!
