Haven’t heard of anything being caught in False River in a long time. I’ve seen someone catching some on a pier while bass fishing about 8 years ago. If you’re going in that area Old River might be a better choice, especially if it’s hot enough for the tubers and skiers on False River.

Caught plenty of bass night fishing there in 80s/90s.....tried sac fishing once, prolly 7 yrs ago.....not one bite.....There is a project going on now to restore False River....I would fish Old River & Bayou Pigeon

Fishing used to be good 70's and 80's.Its close by so will go take a look around when the new prop comes in.Heard the cat's and goo fishing is ok.Will hit the flats and sea walls for bass when it starts cooling down.
After deer season late Jan,Feb will go look for crappie.
