    Default Old river get together

The star's aligned and I got a yard pass for Saturday. ;0)

Conditions were perfect. Just for you basinchartuse. thanks for da burger.

Water was at its summer time low. Nice blue green tint. No wind early. Wind picked up midmorning and da boats traffic too.

I managed 5 keeper sacs, 2 bull bream,2 small green trout, and a pretty goo for PPG.

Caught all my feesh tight line red, green, chartreuse tube jig on docks

It was good meeting y’all. Going to have to do it again next year. Spring time would be ideal but almost impossible to plan ahead of time with the river constantly changing. We ended up with 24 altogether but it was slow.

I had a good time yesterday meeting up with everyone. I stuck with the crankbaits and made my way down to the flats at willow point, well lets just say it was garfish and goo city. I did manage to catch 3 good Sac A Lait. Lets try for spring next yr.

Up to y’all. Fishing CAN be better in the spring but it can be a lot worse too. More consistent in the summer. Water has to be falling and not too fast.

Learned something new yesterday. I can not be like my mentors without putting my time in, on the water. It was a light bulb moment that occurred to me in the middle of the night. Enjoyed it!!!Name: IMG_0690.jpg

The boys and I had a great time. It is always fun to put some faces with the names. Thanks MoSlab for putting this together. We managed to catch a few 3 sac's, 1 bass a catfish and a few bream. I agree with basin chartreuse we need to have more of these. It's great to talk fish and try to learn some things from some good fishermen.
