Prayers Lifted for Ms.Evelyn,Wally ,and rest of the family
Many of you that have been members here for a while probably remember Wally and his wife Evelyn from some of his posts, or from the D'Arbonne gatherings they used to attend. Ms. Evelyn has been in a nursing home for the past couple of years due to some medical problems she's had, and Wally has stayed right there with her as only a devoted husband can do. Well, I'm sad to share that Cajun Dave called today and let me know Ms. Evelyn passed away yesterday evening. She was such a sweet lady and never knew a stranger.
For those in the area of Shreveport/Bossier, there will be a visitation tomorrow at Aulds Funeral Home at 7849 E. Kings Hwy (near LSUS) from 4 - 6 pm. Her wishes were to be cremated and spread along the Sabine River where she loved to spend time fishing with Wally. She'll be missed, and prayers lifted for their family.

The family is in my prayers.

Prayers for the family and their friends. RIP Ms. Evelyn.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.
Thanks Scott for sharing this. I saw it on fb but never got to post it on here. Prayers to the family. Wally did say he had more time to go fishing now, so he appears to be in good spirits.

Yeah, Dwyane...at the visitation, he told me Evelyn had mentioned a few times that she was ready to go. I know that has to be hard, but she had been through a lot, so there's some peace to knowing the suffering is over. He did mention he hasn't been fishing in 2 years, so I'm betting he'll make some time soon.
