I fish Black Bayou in Hosston La and Caddo lake mostly. Black bayou Hosston is turning on as well as Caddo. Been catching black crappie on BB and white on caddo. BB fish come off single trees , cork/jig rig orange and chart. Caddo fish are coming from the cypress flats 3' deep ,fishing shiners 18" under cork. I have been consistently catching a few fish but with these warmer nights its fixing to be on !
I see some of you fish Cypress in Benton. I camped there few ears ago and wondered how the crappie fishing was .I live in Vivian so BB and Caddo lake are basically at my door step but I am thinking of giving Cypress in Beton a try. Anyway I wanted to check in and say Hi.Ill be uploading pics and reports as soon as I get back savvy with the website, its been a long time.
I've been doing pretty good on Cypress. Last week I was catching 8ft deep in 10ft water in the skinny channel next to shallow flats north of 162 bridge. They should definitely be spawning. Water was 65 degrees last week.
