I camped there few ears ago and wondered how the crappie fishing was .I live in Vivian so BB and Caddo lake are basically at my door step but I am thinking of giving Cypress in Beton a try. Anyway I wanted to check in and say Hi.Ill be uploading pics and reports as soon as I get back savvy with the website, its been a long time.

I've been doing pretty good on Cypress. Last week I was catching 8ft deep in 10ft water in the skinny channel next to shallow flats north of 162 bridge. They should definitely be spawning. Water was 65 degrees last week.

Thanks for that info ! I’ll have to learn where everything is but I’d like to start fishing there a little.

Welcome back man. My fishing slowed down as well, so I sort of just troll this forum now.

Did manage to go fishing for the first time this year, and went to BB in Hosston yesterday, thinking I'd find some of those big chinks on the bank. Finally picked up 6 and 1 crappie on a worm.

Some guys loading at the same time said they had 25 crappie, coming on shiners 16 inch deep right off the trees, and water was about 6 ft. I tried jigs a few times, but must have been fishing too deep the entire time. Guess that's what happens when you get out of practice.
