    Default Bayou des allemands 3/25

Had soccer tournament all weekend and was freed up after the last game on Sunday and was able to hit the water about 2pm, found mud water and boats running all over. Was able to catch 15 goggle eye, 2 bass and 9 nice SLABS... Caden caught 1 biggen 2.5 lbs we lost 3 other big Sacs at the boat and threw back 4 others... only pulled 3 off the tree’s all other Sacs were suspended and or on structure in shallow water. While cleaning them 8 had eggs an 1 didn’t. The Vexan rods are flexing their muscle and I’m glade I choose these rods and paired with the inline reel, to me it’s perfect. Caden and Corey both like them as well. Lots of back bone and I find them to have great action in the tip and sensitive... Next trip I will try drop shot and/or vertical jigging just with a jig to really get a feel for the action and sensitivity.

I heard once the goggle eyes move on trees the Sacs are gone? True or false?

I've only fished the area three time and stayed in the bayou or connected canals. With the winds we have been having how does the lake behave, does it get dangerously wild or can it the cross or fished in. Thanks

I haven’t been that far north, especially with the wind, I seem to be always pressed for time and wind keeps me from going to look and scout around the lake. Like you I’m usually ducking in the dead end canals. Maybe this weekend I can do some catching and then some scouting around.

Sounds like a good time and a good mess of fish. Congratulations!
