    Default Green Water

Within the next couple months most of the water in the natural lakes like Verret, Des Allemands, Grassy will be turning green from alge bloom. This water is like kiss of death for me.
I'm asking how you guys handle this and what colors you use or does it shut you down also?

This happens on the oxbows on Red River almost every year about this time. It used to shut me down, but I kept trying for years and finally found that if you use orange, the fish will see it. A friend of mine uses nothing but glow jigs, and usually catches more than most people , but when he and I are fishing around each other at that time, I'll beat him 3 to 1. I throw orange year round and have found it to be the most consistent color made on all the lakes and rivers I fish. During this "Green Water" time, it can be the difference from going home empty handed or going home with at least a mess of fish.

I got problems in any color water. Lol. I like road runners so I was not sure if they came in an orange head.
