Prayer Request Lake St. John 2-26-18

Talked to Josh Andrews Sunday night about 10:00 and decided to make the 2 hour drive over to St. John Monday morning. Water was slightly stained and probably up some due to all of the rain, but the fish didn't seem to mind too much. Water temp was 62-63.5 degrees and the wind was blowing some from the northeast, but not too bad where I was fishing. It was cloudy until about 1:00 o'clock, then the sun came out. I quit fish at 3:00.

I started fishing in 3-5 feet of water and was catching all male fish dressed up in their tuxedos. Moved out to water that was 8-10 feet deep and game on with the females. Caught them on two colors; sweet tea with lemon on a chartreuse head and one of my hand tied jigs; black head-green body-chartreuse tail; the Dodson No Name Special. I kept 24 crappie and one catfish. threw back one 10 inch crappie. Smallest crappie was 12.5 inches and largest was 15 inches with everything else in between. All of the fish were caught on Cypress trees except the catfish. All good quality fish.

I owe all of my success today to two people; the Good Lord and Josh Andrews. God put the fish in the lake and gave me the strength and ability to catch them. Josh gave me a heads up on where to start fishing and recommended a color to catch them on. Thank You Lord for a most wonderful day and a cooler full of fish. Thank you Josh for your unending generosity and unselfishness.

P.S. Please keep Josh and his family in your prayers. His wife had to go to the hospital this morning for some test. He had planned to fish with me until his wife called. Then he lit out to Monroe. He is a family man all of the way. Good husband and father. Good friend too. I know!
The Lord is good. His mercy and love endures forever.

Josh we pray that Rebeca is alright and the baby. Pastor those are some very nice and correct descriptions of Josh. A wonderful fella except for one thing. He talks to the fishes every time we come up and they run and hide. LOL.

Nice post Pastor. You are an inspiration. Kind words for that hard working young man. God bless him and his family.
