Default Chicot Lake near Ville Platte

found a few fish at Chicot. Made a trip Thursday afternoon, Saturday , Sunday and Tuesday. Caught 10, 35, 25, and 15 on those days. Fishing jigs under a cork.. Found some grass in shallow water. they were mixed about half and half male and female. best color was electric chicken

That's some great catching, I heard that's a tough lake to catch on.

Nice catch. Purty lake that's for sure. Only fished it a couple of times years ago.

Looks like the end by the old north landing. In that area are some of the biggest shell crackers, lake runners etc. you will every catch. I'm from Bunkie so the north end landing was about 15 mins from my house.

I did manage to catch 3 or 4 shell crackers (chinkapin). They were huge. My god, they're fun to catch on light tackle.
