    Default Claiborne & Darbonne 2/5/18

Claiborne was dead for us. We found fish and fished everything we had including shiners. No luck we loaded up and went to Darbonne.
We got to Darbonne about 1:30 and it was real slow picking a fish here and there. Most fish were in 20 to 26 fow. Catching them from 15 to 24ft. Kept a dozen good ones. Looked slow for the other fisherman as well.
We caught on shiners and electric&bbq chicken baby shad.
Forgot to take pics but what we kept were nice and the rest were on the small side.

Congratulations on hanging in there and getting a good mess for supper. I had heard from a friend of mine that lives on the lake that they had Claiborne pulled down 6-7 feet. Is Claiborne still pulled down? Where did ya'll launch at Claiborne?

Yes sir, it's real low still. I think about 6 to 7 ft low. We put in at the state park and fished all that area out of it to the dam.

PLEASE be sure to wash down your boat trailer before you come back to D’Arbonne. We really don’t need a Salvinia infestation up here. MANY THANKS !

Thanks for the lake level info on Claiborne, LostGoose. I remember when I lived up there on the lake, when they would pull it down the state park was the only ramp available, but I thought that Claiborne State Park was closed due to budget cuts.

She was open and gladly took that boat launch money lol. I think they voted to fund the govt another 3 months so we'll see if they shut it down then lol
