    Default Short windy trip

Nothing was perfect. The wind was blowing a small gale, the water was very high and over the banks, and we left very late, 10 AM. It's been too long without a trip so we made the best of it. I caught 2 bass, Linda caught 2 nice bluegills and missed landing 3 sacs. I told her she'd better tighten up or I would find another fishing partner, yeah right. Sorry no pictures.

And now we have a hurricane bearing down us
    Keep safe,

Sounds like enough for supper to me! I'm going to try the salt water tomorrow.

Congrats on a trip out in God’s water park. Let me know how the tightening works out.

Yes we did but not as much fun as you at the Toilet Bowl. (I bet that will get some people )

By the way, when we went through the flood gate it was set at #2 so we had to open it to pass through. When we returned they had changed it to #4 which is closed to all marine traffic. We had to go back to the Intracoastal and ride it to the free launch in Houma. I then got my son to pick me up and drive me over to Cannons to get my truck and trailer. I wonder how many others got caught like that. Since there was no tide movement, they could have let it on # 2 setting until all the car had left assuring that all boats were in.
