Does it have to be alfalfa? Could you use another type of hay?

Well, that is easy. Is it the same size as a regular bale of hay? How much do they cost?

Also, how often do you drop them?

Yes, all bales there are two wire now. They have a "Timothy mix" as well which is a mix of alfalfa and regular hay which might work. Don't know the cost of that. I buy the straight alfalfa. Prices fluctuate a great deal, plus I'm tax exempt as a land owner. Last weekend spent $15.30 a bale.

Perfect. Thank you. We have a few piles that were great earlier this year but have died off. I wonder if this could revive them.

    Will do. Worth a shot.

i was forced to go to Pendleton bridge this past weekend and caught a few, but got caught in some rough stuff. Thankfully only minor damage.

When dropping this hay do you leave it in a block or do you break it up? Thanks.
