Great catch. That's not Old River is it?

Fish caught on spinner bait, jigs and spotted black and white cranks any where from 5-10 ft deep in 10-20 fow.
The biggest sacs came on cranks. The last 2 came from the slap middle of this lake. Places one would not normally fish. I am from the school of beating the banks. But I am seeing that out of the box is a whole new world. White crappie are light in comparison to blacks.

Nice catch.
I will be passing that place by on Friday with the boat in tow. Maybe I should stop.

I used to catch a bunch of bream at Chicot but heard it's tough to fish for sacs. When the stage is below 20 ft, Old River is great to fish. The MS doesn't affect it after it falls below 15.5 ft. I've probably had more bad trips than good with the level above 20 ft but we've also had some of our best trips around 26-28 ft. It's more hit or miss though. I want to bring my 3&5 year old boys fishing this weekend somewhere just to catch some bream at least and do a little boat riding. Just trying to figure out where to go if Old River isn't right. That's really the only place I know well.
