    Default My new jugs

Started fiddling around and wanted to come up with something a little more compact to carry without taking too much room. Cut my Old PVC jugs to make two smaller ones and filled with that expansion foam. A little 4 dollar can was more than enough to add foam inside the PVC. Don't care too much for the rebar sliding inside since I know when I have a fish on. Thinking I'll just do a drop shot rig with a three way swivel a foot off the bottom.

Are you adding any more floatation to them? That foam will soak water over time. I made my noodle jugs the standard way but with out the weight in them. The only difference is i cut the noodle in 2 pieces and wrap thw string in between the pieces and hook in one of them the they stay like that till i use them again.

Why not just put end caps on? A good sized fish will take those to never never land!

Nice. We use noodles from Dollar General and cut them to fit laying down in a plastic milk crate. About 16 inches long and the crate will hold about 16 or 18. We stack 2 crates and run a small ratchet strap around them. I use the strap as a handle to quickly put them in storage or in the floor or the boat. It also keeps the noodles from flying out going down the road to the river. Tie your line close to the end and Mr. Cat will stand it up for you. Cut shad makes good bait but I miss the days when we could get fresh chicken hearts from our plant. Get's my blood pumping. Blessings!!

I saw some this morning on lake buhlow , they were only pool noodles about 18" long and the string ran inside and out. And tied tight to make it bend in half. When a fish bites, it will stand up. I thought it was a good simple idea. On my way out i saw a few standing up in the water.

What I did was cutter foam flush with the PVC and gorilla glued caps on because robs correct the foam soaked some water. Not sure if it was enough to make a difference but I don't want to change anything. Hopefully I'll be able to set these out with some limb lines soon. Tried it at Bodcau but I've caught nothing but mudcats out of there. Might try dorcheat...just need to find a good area.
