    Caught 18 tuesday over brush piles in an oxbow off the red river. Name:  20170711_120439.jpg

    I would like to try. Do you know of the closest boat ramp from opelousas?

    Closest landing would probably be Moncla or Brouillette. Then farther north, there's one just upriver from the lock @ Ruby, one at the oxbow behind Buhlow Lake and one behind RGH in Alex.
    Only need three more years before I can think like a fish.

    I missed my window last fall Tal. Being it was my first summer cranking, I was still fiddling around with Larto and Dubisson. This fall when the river and the water gets right, I plan on trying the Palmer Chapel Oxbow and the one behind Buhlow.
    Only need three more years before I can think like a fish.
