Default Round and round and Round

In front of Jakes landing on D'Arbonne That was me running the boat in circles after the last round of repairs ... the motor cranked so easy it was frightening --- but I wanted to run it close to 45 minutes and get up on step several times before I left the area to fish... The motor died once and I had failed to open the vent. Happy with the motor I ran down in front of the old State Park and tied to a Channel Marker --- I put 7 legal size Cats in the Ice chest in about an hour. When I tried to Restart the Motor it would not keep running. But I did not find that out until the Boat was untied ..... I dropped Anchor in the middle of the channel and waited for what seemed like an hour --- When help arrived to tow me back to the landing my Anchor rope broke leaving the anchor on the Bottom of the Channel ... I got to fish --- and made it home .... I wonder if I ran out of Gas -- Naw , cant get that luckey.

Oh what a day! Sorry to hear about the boat and anchor problems Mr. Larry. 7 cats isn't a great prize for the trouble, but better than a poke in the eye, right?

I've been both the towed and tower over the years and know what it's like. At least you got some fish.

I am with fishervet. Mr. Larry, I believe you stated in a previous post that your wife gave you her blessings on a new motor. It just might be time to cash in those blessings.

The tank still had 3 gallons of Fuel --- The new type strainer on the Motor had some little Trash in the Bottom of the bowl ...The screen is so fine it is almost like a filter for the Coffee Pot... I emptied the fuel tank and strained the gas and the tank only had a couple of drops of water and a half teaspoon of Trash ---- now the tank is clean. When I removed the Carb and Cleaned the last few times the Jets will not come out... It might have fine trash between the Jet and the Pin hole that the Fuel enters the Throat. I kind of hate the thought of the cost of another Motor.. At 70 years young I would have to fish every day for years to pay off... A new Carburetor would be cheaper if those jets wont come out

Before you go to the expense of a new carb. give this a try. It is a product made by Berryman it s called Carb and Parts Cleaner, comes in a gal can with a basket for the parts. After you disasemble the carb soak over night then spray clean parts with B12 chemtool, using the little red tube that fits in the spray nozzle. Make sure you get a flow through in both directions on every tiny hole you see. Try a light tap then get the jet to turn, tighten it down and count revolutions so you know were to reset the jet. Also ware Eye and Mouth protection trust me on this caution I learned the hard way. Good Luck
