Ann's lab rescue friends have taken the last RV spot out of 40 spots available. There is a waiting list for those that have a monthly RV spot who back out. All 19 cabins are booked. We have the large enclosed pavilion as before, someone else has the open pavilion - but as you know, I don't like to take that chance on the open pavilion so far in advance due to weather, etc. This is why Marty and I had to make this decision early last year when the gathering would be.

Wildwood is next door, don't know their situation on cabins, etc. Link here:

Welcome to Wildwood | Wildwood Resort

April and early May is very active on Toledo Bend. If you plan to attend, make plans now. We would appreciate as well to let us know where you are staying.

    See you there.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up on the bite in late April. Most of the fish will be on brushpiles in 18-22ft of water suspending 10-14ft down. Maybe with this extreme cold they will still be shallow by then but not normally. Check out Louisiana department of wildlife and fisheries for gps coordinates to several man made piles on the Louisiana side. There isn't enough grass on the lake to hold them shallow. Same as last year probably. Catch them good in the morning In March on brush. As water warms up during day the bite slowed way down, probably spawning in the shallows. With no cover avilable on banks big mamma would be back on brush in morning slap full of eggs with spawning sores on their sides. JMO tight lines

Bob (snake river) sent me a bunch of his jigs for the gathering for everyone once again. He has always done this for us, without me asking every year.
