I guess I should have said jig heads
I know I'm going to get a lot of different answers. I fish 2 - 6' of water. Always hear they like a slow fall. I've been using a 1/48 for several years but started using a 1/24 and thinking about going to a 1/16. Also what's your favored hook size? 2 - 4 - 6 - 8
I used to like fishing 1/16 oz tube jigs, but the last 2 years I have been fishing 1/32 oz hair jigs and seem to do better. Have had a ton of success with both of them. It really just depends on how deep of water I'm fishing and the current/wind situation.

For the shallow waters I fish, I use mostly 1/32 with a # 2 sickle hook. Others I use are 1/32 with a # 4 hook, and 1/16 with a # 4 hook. Why change what works as I know you had a very good season last summer.

I like a 1/16 #4 for hair and a #2 for plastic. Sometimes I fish a 1/8 #2, mostly depends on how and what I'm fishing

I prefer 1/32 for any water 5' and less. I use 1/16 for water up to 15'. I like 1/8 for punching grass and trolling. I will use 1/48 on cold days, or anytime I feel they are Feeding on fry.
I pour. tie, and fish 1/32,1/24,and 1/16 oz. jig heads with a #4 Lil Nasty hook. Just went to the 1/24 last year and use it almost exclusively from 1-12 fow.
I use 1/16th If I need to go lighter I cut a little lead off. HTH
