I have caught a few good bass and white perch there, but haven't chased them enough to do a good job. Have caught good catfish, usually with slip cork under trees.
I have found that when it gets really quiet you need to get out there, just sayin!

Waiting on a report is a lot like waiting on a bite. Sometimes you have to be a little patient. The only person I've talked to fishing Cross this weekend said it was a little slow, but was catching some good fish. I couldn't say where on the lake. I've been hammering Cypress in Benton. It was slow there on Saturday. I quit and went home when I hit 20. Took me four hours to get that. Everyone else I talked to on the water and the launch had less than ten. Most were fishing the banks or just off of them. I was fishing deep. All females. I haven't been to Cross in a couple months. I have yet to fish Black Bayou.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work, unless you fish for a living.
Rob...you jigging or cranking. I tried to get out there this weekend but the Mrs decided to sell the house. Saturday for sure.
Cranking. Looking for stragglers still in the deep. Still a bunch in front of the coves, but few big fish. Not positive but it seems most have made their way close to the shallows, still hanging back from the banks at various depths. I didn't catch a single male in the deep. If I get out there this weekend, I'll be jigging around the channel edges of the coves. They've got to be staging in there somewhere. If all else fails, I'll run cranks until I find some.

I'd help you if I could. Never fish that area.
