    Default Crappie.com server slow

I can load all my other favorite websites quickly. So, the problem is with the server. From one page to the next. Haven't time for this. Going to read a book.

Seems ok here. Tested with webpagetest.org and front page loaded in 6 seconds.

Mine too, about 6 seconds. Randy deals in Nanoseconds.

They probably just have slower electrons in Carencro.

It's faster than it ever was. We have 32 processors and barely ever touch using 2 of these during the peak period. We are also on Solid State Disk. No spinning hard drive. This ads picture load times because the pictures all come from disk (generally speaking).

Having said that Randy, G just reminded me that he's had issues with his specific ISP. I ran a trace route to him from the server and one of the hops going through Salt Lake City was super slow. It seems in his case it was ISP specific. There's nothing I can do if a specific path stalls. The server is in the exact same facility in Ohio. It has not physically moved. We're just on a hot new one.

That's a test above from TX to the server in OH and it's taking 1.8 seconds for the home page to load. 75% faster than all other sites on the Internet.

Perhaps Randy's dial up AOL connection is the main culprit

One issue that I'm still having is not being able to receive email notifications. I have triple checked my settings and could find no problems.
