Default Found a few on the Tickfaw

Had a good time yesterday . Left work a lil early , well a good bit early . Got to the river around 11 and fished till around 3 . Went straight to some old spawning grounds to see if they started yet and sure enough we found a few . They wasn't exactly stacked up but we picked a few up here and there till we had a nice mess . Water was kind of nasty , dirty but it must have been warm enough for them to start the spawning process . The wind got kind of rough on us a few times too ! Fished with a solid black hair jig , maybe 16" deep with a cork and just beat the banks with it .

I don't have a depth finder or a temp gauge . But just guessing it had to be near 60 degrees for them to be on the banks like they were , about half had eggs .

Went Monday afternoon way up blood river past lizard creek and caught quite a few bass up there but was looking for sacalait . We kept about 15 fish altogether with 3 nice bass , just fishing the trees with a cork and a black hair jig .
