    Default Marsh on Fire

Word is out..Some one call the fire department that the marsh is on fire. Bayou Black has been good since October, but every year you get those February days when the crappie move in to spawn. And it seems this might be the week..Its no secret by the hundreds of trucks in the parking lot at the landing.. And yes today was one of those crappie days..Had 75 sacs and 25 bass or so. Most let go..I always advocate keep what ya need and release the rest.."see the roe, let it go". I know its not popular . But to be honest, i have never seen this many folks on the water..and when the spawn is on, they are easy to catch..I love this time of year, fish in a foot of water..fat females, aggressive males..it gets your blood flowing..but any day the sacs are biting gets my blood flowing...

Good post Mr. Bob. Congratulations! Oh, and by the way, it never hurts to stand up for what you believe, even if you are the only one who believes it. One thing is for sure about you, Mr. Bob, you practice what you preach. And I like that.
