Mr Leon makes some good seasoning also.. We will be having our Shriners bass tournament out of that place first weekend in march.
Launched at Woodsons Landing at daylight, I forgot what is like to drive on nice blacktop road to a good wide cement launch . Mr Leon and Mrs Dot have live shiners $5 for 50 and complementry coffee, just remember to arrive a half hr early these folks are old school they were vacinated with a phonograph needle they will talk your arm off LOL. The water was real muddy up the creek, traveled @ 3 mi toward the lake and found a creek channel in the cypress trees incase the wind picked up. Had 2 of my 4 poles out and caught my first fish, at one point had 3 keeper fish on at the same time. Caught 6 9-11" fish real fast then I found the small ones, ending up keeping 18 and run out of shiners. Tried jigs up against the trees, no bites back at the launch for 11.

Is little Saline Bayou past the Open Bayou launch? I have launched out of Open Bayou a couple of times, motored toward Saline Lake, and cut off to the left down a bayou. I don't know if that was Saline Bayou or not. Good Report.
Glad you catch some fish to eat. Congratulations!
The Lord is good. His mercy and love endures forever.
Thanks for the report. Great catch.
