    I remember sometime back you mentioned the mapping product you liked for Toledo Bend....I think you said it had contours....I bought a Lowrance Elite 5 Ti and can not decide which maps to get.....I do want the contours....suggestions appreciated from anyone...

    I have the Navionics premium South card for mine. One foot contours on Toledo Bend, boat lanes marked, submerged structures, etc. Looks like this:

    My Elite-5 DSI wouldn't accept the platinum card which has google earth type topography. You're going to like that new unit. To tune my DSI in, I dropped a shiner below the transducer and fine tuned it until I could see the shiner. The blue background worked best for me.

    I bought the navionics app on my tablet. I like having it on my tablet so I can look around the lake while I'm fishing in the front of the boat. Been thinking about getting a ram mount to hold it on the console while I'm running.

    No, sure don't. Bought my unit when it first came out about six years ago. Obsolete now I believe with the new technology. Works just fine for me though. Sure would like one of those touch screen units for sure. I'll wait till my pukes (like you did) before I move ahead to the next generation.
