    For jigging, I like a little stiffer rod so I opt for the Ozark rod with medium backbone & light tip
    or the ProAngler Light Rod, both in 10 ft lengths. Occasionally I will switch to a 9ft version of
    these rods to help me with my confidence level.

    only use 10' poles for single pole fishing...
