    Sorry to hear about your buddy.
    I learned a tuff lesson myself this weekend. Stuck my boat in 3" of water in a canal on the backside of Murphy Lake in Indigo around Pigeon on a sandy bottom. Thank the Lord, I slid instead of coming to a sudden stop because I was wide open. I wear a jacket everytime I am in the spillway and have been through the same canal 100 times. Took 6 hours and Iberville Sheriff to get my boat out.
