    Default Well it's about time!


    That we were able to catch some white perch at my mom and dad's pond that is! Haven't caught anything but gars, catfish and reds since Rita. Use to tear up the bass, bream and white perch in this pond growing up. My brother and SIL had caught 7 before I could get over there Sunday!

    Didn't take me long to add to their bucket!


    My brother and SIL caught theirs on shrimp, yes shrimp and not grass shrimp! First time I have seen that happen! I caught my first one on a blk/chrt hair jig and the other 2 on ditch minnows. Really enjoyed catching that first white perch of the fall season! None of them were under 10" and most were over 11"!

    Not off the Mississippi but it does feed into the black bayou that feeds into the intercoastal waterway so I guess in a round about way it could be fed off of the Mississippi! lol
