    Default Heat Safety

No tea, coffee or beer in this heat. Can all dehydrate you. Water, water and maybe gatorade or powerade, then more water. You should always drink enough that you have to pee. If you are not peeing you are heading for heat stroke. Be careful guys.

Thanks for the reminder "D", another good practice in this heat is to stay in the AC.

We lost my father-in-law to heat stroke 5 yrs ago after he went out cutting yards in 105 degrees. Dr said once the internal body temp hits a certain point, you're a gonner and it's too late for a cold shower, bottle of water, or AC. Heed the warning...it'll get you!

Sorry to hear that Scott, but thanks for sharing. My wife's youngest son got heat stroke once. It was bad for a while. Also takes years to recover sometimes, if you do.

Heat Stroke Symptoms from WebMD. I read somewhere that us older folks might not actually feel thirsty, but need to drink water anyway.
