    Honey
I'd love to help, but I've been remodeling after severe flood damage. The only fishing I have been able to do is in Henderson by my house. Everytime I go up there is to work on the camp. The water is right though, so I would assume the white perch are on the drop offs and deep water right now.

Thanks for info. Haven't been on the water yet. Still
working on repairs. Thought maybe today but after planning to run to
get water seal in Pineville and get back to fish a little .... Our plans changed greatly. Quarter mile off diversion canal road on 28 we had two back tires go flat. One spare and in a pickle . Remembered I had roadside assistance with ATT I thought I had solved our problem. But over two hours later on the phone they finally located us. Their pronunciation of Catahoula Lake was priceless. Finally they said they had a provider they could send out of Natchez to TOW us . Fortunately a man named Gene K. From Deville stopped to see if he could help. He spent the next 5 hours bringing my husband around Pineville to find tires. He was truly an angel in disguise. So the story ends safely and almost back to the camp with hopes to fish Monday.
A word of caution to all of you who drive Diversion Canal. Our tires were in excellent condition prior to today. Both back tires had two huge gashes in them that made them Unfixable. At the Firestone tire store there was ANOTHER truck getting a tire with similar problems. They had also been down the diversion canal road. We have no idea if something on the road or one of the cattleguards was the culprit but beware if you drive that route.
    Happy Fourth and Fishing

Another report of ruined tire yesterday afternoon on Diversion Canal. I would be happy to call someone to report the situation. I just am not sure who to alert.... Parish or State? I am not expecting much if any response but there's always a chance. Suggestions appreciated. HAPPY 4th of July! I am thankful and blessed to live in America and pray for our upcoming days as I know you all do!

Maybe a bad cattle guard. I had one tear a tire off a few years back, and on a motorcycle. By the time I saw the jagged metal it was to late. Maybe call the State Police, I see them on that road checking for speeders. They would have th time to check the guards.

I would try talking to Wildlife and Fisheries. They should be able to do something or know who is responsible for the road.
