Default A Redneck and a Cajun

Once upon a time there was a Redneck and a Cajun. They were both fair fishermen but lived far apart. This distance made it hard for them to get together to fish even though they were the best of buddies. Today by the Grace of God they were brought together to fish. Now when you put two opposites like a Cajun and a Redneck in the same boat something mighty has got to happen, and it did. The Redneck drove his boat with the Cajun on board to a spot and said here they are. So the Cajun begin to set up his lines to fish with a bobber and shiners. Once his first pole was set up he dropped the hook into the water to see how the bobber would float. It floated on it's side so he added a split shot and got it just right. He once again put the bare hook into the water and laid the rod down while he set up his minnow bucket. When that Cajun picked up his pole to put a shiner on it there was a sac-au-lait on it. May-cher can you believe that. The first fish of the day and caught without any bait. The Cajun looked at the Redneck and said, Redneck you better get ready because they are turning on. And they did. Every time the Redneck caught a fish the Cajun caught one until the Cajun started catching ahead of the Redneck. The Cajun tried to keep a count on his clicker but the fish were coming in so fast that he gave up. One time the Cajun put on a fresh shiner and dropped it overboard and set his pole down to do something and while his head was turned , WHAM, when he looked up his pole was overboard and heading downstream. Another kind fisherman chased it down and as he pick up the pole he jerked it to land the fish and you know what, he missed the fish. Oh the Cajun was so unhappy, but at least he got his Duck Commander pole back that he got a D'Arbonne as a gift. So when he thought about it for a while, 2 seconds, he was a very happy Cajun. Finally the sun got so hot the Redneck couldn't take it any longer. So they packed it in and went for a ride to cool off. The Redneck then decided to fish under the bridge in the shade for a while to see if the fish would bite. Well let me tell you, them fish was begging to get out of that hot water and into a cooler. Them dudes should have fished the shade earlier and they would have felt better. All was fine until some dark clouds showed up. The Cajun looked at his smart phone and that smart phone told him it was time to go or drown. The Redneck cranked up the boat and headed to the landing. The boat was picked up and everything stowed away and off they went with the rain chasing them. They got to the Cajun's truck right ahead of the storm. The Redneck drove his few short miles to his house before the storm hit, but the poor Cajun had to travel from Gonzales to Houma in the worst of weather, at times traveling 20 miles an hour. All and all he made it home safe and sound and said a rounds of thanks. When the fish were counted out the number was 65 and the clicker only had 25. Oooh weee, what a fishing day, one of the best in a long time.

I, the Cajun, owe it all to the Redneck, Prefers Shiners, for a most memorable day on the water. We really showed up those young bucks all around us how to catch some fish, and plenty.

Oh and Bruce, in our haste to depart and beat the rain, I forget to pay you for the shiners and split the gas bill. So we'll have to do it again on me next time.

    Thanks buddy,
    "gene"

A box shot, and that's only the ones I brought home.

Great report, Mr. Gene. Congratulations to you and Mr. Bruce. By the way, which one of you is the Cajun and which one is the Redneck? I get the two of you mixed up. LOL!
