I think I had a first today. I was the only person fishing in the deep water inlets on the southeast side. There were only about a half dozen trucks at the landing, too, so that should have told me something.
I lost one white perch along the rocks and that was the only bite I got. The channel cat, however, are up on the bank spawning and I caught a couple and hung a big one that broke my line. So I pulled a Pete Cooper and got the fly rod out with a purple/gold fly Pete tied and gave me. Caught 3 catfish and about a half dozen goggle eye along the rocks.
Thanks for the report tbone.

Thanks, Tbone, for the report. If you couldn't catch the crappie at the Point, than I know there is no need in me driving for 2 hours this weekend. You just saved me about $30.00 dollars worth of fuel. Thanks. Does that mean I should send you half of it?
The Lord is good. His mercy and love endures forever.
Put it in the plate Sunday, Pastor.
My son n a couple of his friends went today, caught 5 crappie n a cpl of catfish. Said there was no body on the lake

What is a goggle eye? I haven't fished your state enough to have learned all the terminology.
Thanks, now I know. Caught a couple when we were down in March. Always thought they were a crossbreed or something.
