If you go back soon make sure you check for some spawners by the bank. I was in similar locations today and all 5 fish where spawning. Three were egg loaded girls and the rest males.

Even with water temps at the surface of over 80 degrees? at one point it was 82.

Bring worms or crickets, The bream should be spawning. If you catch one, try that area for a while, in case you on a bream bed. I knew that wasn't your old gray head.

Years ago, we were catching them at Lacassine pool (which, if i am not mistaken, is just a little northwest of there) when the temp was in the upper 90's, not sure what the water temp was at the time, but we caught and kept over 450 fish in a 5 day total, fishing about a foot deep in deeper water. Them marsh fish are different from the open lake fish.
You can't fish with a hung line!
