do ya'll think tides affect the fish in these marsh regions?
In White Lake very little tide as it would depend on the various locks being left open to allow salt water in. There is a rise and fall caused by winds blowing on White and Grand lakes. They act as pumps circulating the water. A big wind and you might see muddy water flowing into the canals pushing the clear water into the marsh. If the wind switches it could then flow out clear.

I'd try swimming a three tail. Good luck Vet.
Ephesians 1:13
John is correct about the marsh crappie. I fish marsh canals north of there and I rarely fish more than a foot deep. Most canals are only around 10 ft deep and clear. Try fishing black and chartreuse or pink and chartreuse road runners. When I catch a few in an area and they turn off I switch to shiners and wear them out.

I was there Saturday and Sunday with the wife. We caught 46 in those 2 days. Fishing about a foot deep up towards the bank.
