    Default Bundick's 4-3-16

Managed to keep 29 and threw back 10-15 smaller fish.. All caught in 5-9 fow and red/chartreuse tube jig was the best bait. Caught a few on black/chartreuse tubes and a few on black/chartreuse and red/chartreuse hair jigs.... I had a first for me today. For the first time in my life, I caught a clam on a tube jig. It couldn't clamp down all the way shut because of the thickness of the jig head, so i was able to stick needle nose pliers in, twist, and open them to get it open enough to get my jig out... I like when they go from the lake to the knife, to the oil..

    and the clam.

Great pictures and catch. Wish I lived a little closer to that place.

Very nice catch Johnny. Congratulations! You may want to check on that clam. You may hold the world record for a clam caught on a tube jig. Never seen such a thing. Amazing!

I hear that..lol. Funny thing is, I was fishing bottom bouncing and it actually thumped the line. I guess it was opened up and the jig bounced into it and it slammed shut.. it was a first for me and I have never heard of anyone else catching one like that.

Dang, not only does he out fish me for crappie, now he out fishes me for clams! lol That's crazy Johnny! I was wondering if you went out there Sunday, I fished Friday at the burns and got blown across the marsh and caught 1 bass. Heading to church Sunday, I told Angie the wind blew like crazy friday and saturday and it was nice for fishing on sunday. Thanks for the pictures.
