There are several places to launch your boat, to fish lake des allemands, only 1,however, that is close to the lake.

This would be at Fred's in Lac des allemands cove. I believe the hwy # is 643, just follow it til you see a the launch. The Launch is only a few hundred yards from the lake and the end of the road.

There is a public launch, on La 20 (Bayou Chevruil) which is sometimes useable, if the water isn't knee deep in the parking lot. But you need to know how to get to the lake from this one.
Another public launch on Hwy 644,(koteaux canal). A straight shot to the lake in the northwest section.
On Hwy 3127 around the Nuclear Pwr Plant there is a roadside launch which leads to the lake. I don't use it
There are numerous launches in the Des Allemands area which runs Bayou Des Allemands out to the lake.

I usually fish on the wind protected side of the lake, when fishing crappie after the spawn.
There are numerous canals/Bayous all around the lake, which at time yield okay.
I usually don't fish the spawn for crappie in this lake, or ist bayous because I am more familiar with lake Beouf's area.
I should be back there in 2 weeks, as I am fixing to retire and be a full time fishing bum.
