    So does that mean I can bring my wife to toledo bend dam and avoid the trip to Niagra?!

    Yep, they closed I-10 at The starks (almost to the state line) exit at 9 AM this morning.

    What worries me in that video is all the mud being stirred up as it eddies around the bank at the top of the dam. Mud means soil is eroding. A dam failure of Toledo would be catastrophic. Not to mention they are running 200,000 cfs through there, and the max historically was 125,000 cfs. Lets hope it holds up.

    my thoughts also as I have some experience in the design of earthen dams.....they do fail.....I guarantee you they have a lot of folks looking at this....
