We have a large family gathering scheduled at D'Arbonne scheduled to start next Friday at the state park. Would you members be so kind as to keep me updated on the flooding conditions there? We had planned on doing a fair amount of crappie and catfishing. Can we get our boats into the water? Do we need to change plans? Etc. Thanks in advance.

I think they close the lake at 83. I'm sure they're goin to open the tainter gate soon though to head off flooding conditions so I'd wait and see what happens.

At 6:45 a.m. Wednesday the pool stage was 82 feet. D’Arbonne is expected to rise above flood stage in the afternoon and continue to rise near 88.5 feet by Saturday morning. Additional rises will remain possible. According to the National Weather Service, the new spillway will be operated at full capacity to control flooding but very heavy rainfall will continue through Thursday. This represents the highest crest on Lake D’Arbonne since the lake crested at 90.78 feet on April 30, 1991.

The Parking Lots will be under water. I would Cancel Early and hope for a refund
Access to the spillway is now closed. You can't walk out until the water recedes.
