Toledo Bend Scouting trip 2-13
Headed to Toledo Bend to check it out prior to the gathering. Fished Tranquility bay under the small bridge and further up into the shallows in 5 to 8 foot of water. People had been catching the day prior but I think the overnight front shut them down. Finished with only 4, I think the fish aren't quite in the shallows yet. Water temp was 57 water stained and high. fished some grass flats in 5 FOW with no luck. the 4 were caught under the big bridge in 12 FOW. all on shiners, tried some split tail grubs and plastics with no luck. My buddy actually caught all 4 which was awesome because he hadn't been fishing since he was around 4. It was nice to get out and check the lake out. Hopefully the water temp keeps climbing up in the next couple of weeks pushing those fish to the shallows before our shindig.

I was at Toledo bend this past weekend also. I didn't have much time to fish though. I had a few things that needed to be done on my boat for when the fishing will be good. I wasn't very optimistic with the high pressure on Saturday. I stayed at tranquility bay where did y'all stay at?
