    Prayer Request POVERTY POINT TRIP

I think the thread title should have been, "Poverty Trip Pointless", because it was that bad. Fished from 9:15 till 3:30 and caught one 4 lb goo. Only had two other bumps....talked to two other boats who were using shiners and they had caught only one spec in each boat.Water temperature was 51 degrees and color looked good. Lake is probably 18-24 inches high. I could see a solid cloud of shad starting at 10-11 feet extending all the way to the bottom and occasionally action flipping on top. I think the resident Pelicans were the only fishermen who caught anything yesterday....total of four trucks on the south ramp. I should have taken that clue more seriously before deciding to launch, but I've never been accused of making smart decisions when it comes to fishing.....lol

ALWAYS DREAMING ABOUT FISH'N...AND PLEASE REMEMBER THAT "A LAD WHO FISHES WITH HIS DAD SELDOM TURNS OUT BAD".

Well at least you got out and gave it a try Mr. Bob. Now if you didn't catch anything there, everyone else should just pack it up and try another place or go home! Thanks for the report.

Hate to hear that Bob. I've had one good day over there this winter and that was around the first of December. Haven't heard much since then.
