Smile STRUCK OUT AT CANEY 12-19

At least it was a beautiful morning. A little on the chilly side at 31 degrees when I left home, but still beautiful. Water temp 58 degrees with a calm wind when I arrived at the lake at 7:30. I found numerous balls of baitfish holding around 20 feet deep in 30 FOW. There were also a lot of fish holding close to those balls of baitfish, but if they were crappie they wanted nothing to do with any of the jigs I offered them. Oh well, I got to map a lot of the lake floor today and I needed to get the boat out and run her some anyway. Overall it was a very good day.

Dwayne, I am glad to hear that my jigs are working for someone. Oh yea, I almost forgot about Jig Rig. That makes two of you. LOL.

Not catching does not resolve our addiction.

Thanks for the report Pastor, I had just heard a co-worker saying they were starting to turn on at Caney. Just as you stated they were catching fish 20 feet deep in 30 fow. That's my luck too, they always bite good the day before I show up.
