    Nice old truck for sure and a nice job on the ski boat. I'm sure some of y'all remember another such switch on the right side of the accelerator pedal. Who here knows what it was for. I remember replacing a few of those way back then.

    It is a starter switch. You would turn on the ignition switch and then you'd pressed the switch to give power to the starter. I liked the way that there was so much room under the hood with the 300 that you could stand inside the hood next to the motor to work on it.

    i don't care who you are that's funny right there. i learned how to drive a stick in a truck just like that. 3 speed on the column.
