Default Out the house and on the water

After being cooped up for 10 day it was enough. I felt well enough to go so we went. We went over to Amelia and hit the Union Oil canals and those others around it. Couldn't ask for a better day to be on the water. The temp was around 70, the water temp was 63/65, the water was stained but not bad and we did find some very nice water. We also managed to catch a few fish. Although we were after Sacs and saw a bunch of bass fishermen without fish, we landed 4 bass pretty quick and then finally a small Sac. We went on to land 3 more Sacs and 1 more bass for a total of 4 sacs and 5 bass. Maybe we ought to say we're going bass fishing and then we might catch the Sacs. A great day to be out, thank you Lord.

I am glad you took care of your cabin fever. Now you have a nice mess of fish to eat tomorrow.

pretty fishing hole you got there. The water looks a lot clearer than what I have been fishing.

Oops, forgot that. Mostly shiners and horsehead spinner with a blue and white mini-assassin. I also forgot to mention I caught a nice shoe-pic. That was fun.

Great pics and good catch. At least you went! I haven't been on the water since early December. Getting real itchy. I might have to use a couple of those 30 days of vacation I got stored up????

Great report Mr. Gene. I'm glad to see that ya'll caught some fish. With the water temp at 63 were the fish spawning? Did you catch them shallow? Or have they already spawned out?
