    Default Basin map

Other day someone posted a map of basin that listed lakes and bayou's. I did a search to try find, but my search turned up nothing. Also a list of landings would be nice. I would be coming in north of Lafayette. Are there any sd cards lowrance compatible that show them? Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome to the forum Pete. As far as I know there are not map cards for Louisiana except Toledo Bend. Also the map posted on the forum was probably the one showing named areas in the Henderson Swamp Which I guess could be called part of the Basin but it is actually a separate body of water with controls on it. Prefers Shiners will probably step in as he has one of the maps of Henderson of which you speak.

Try using "Google Earth" for info.....double click the icons for data....this map shows the locations where the launches are.....the rest area at exit 121 on I10 has a free launch.....the private launches (pay) are on the south end of the lake along the levee....you have to take the Henderson exit off I10 to get there.....

Thanks so much, I'm trying to decide to spend my time down here or toledo bend. Both seem to be great places to fish! Gonna spend some time on both and go from there. Comments welcome!

Standard Mapping has a card called the Louisiana One card that is compatible with the Lowrance HD units. I think they also make one for the Humminbird units. It is a detailed map like the google earth maps and covers Henderson and the Atchafalaya Basin. It is pricey but a really good map.
