Nice trip Cal, it's always fun to fish in a different place especially if you have someone who knows a little about it. Thanks for the report.

Had a friend who was nice enough to bring me out to Old River Friday morning. We struggled early...tried to bass fish some...then we just started jumping around fishing warfs. Finally found a warf with some fish on it at about 930. Boated 20 keepers until 11 when they shut down. Caught a real hammer and dropped her twin. But the overall average was on the small to medium size. Threw a lot back. Word around was the fish were suspended 6 ft around the floating docks...but we caught ours on shiners 13-18 ft, although the slab did come on a black chartreuse jig. What a beautiful body of water....

Thanks guys. LAFishNut, I remember catching one about that big when I was about 12 in Lake Warner, but this may well have been the biggest crappie of my life.
