(this is the same poll as last time but i could not alter the end date, so i am making another one with a end date much closer to the gathering. if you already voted, you can vote again or not. i will count the votes from the first poll and if someone does not vote again, their vote will still be counted.)

HEY FOLKS.........

last year at darbonne we had a record number of big fish participants. i know big john and southernchuter loved it. but there was some scuttlebutt last year about paying two places, or three, depending on whether or not we had enough fishermen in the big fish pot. i always like to spread the wealth if possible, but i wanted to get everyone's opinion about this before we went any further.

here is a possible way it could work. not married to this exact design, but something like this could be an option.

if we have 25 or less people in the big fish pot, we would only pay the winner @ 100% of pot.

if we have 26-40 people, we would pay first and second at a ratio of winner gets 75%, second place gets 25%

if we have 41 or more people in the big fish pot, we would pay three place at this ratio.....winner gets 70%, second place gets 20% and third gets 10%.

all of these numbers are open to discussion if we actually want to do more than one pay out at all. just wanted to dump this out there.

yall pick one option or the other. totally doesn't matter to me.........

James, I usually don't vote (on any polls) because I usually just go with what everyone decides. I think Doc Waldo does the same. BUT with that being said, if there is a tie we can add a vote one way or the other to help break a tie.

Thanks Mark. Brandon also told me that we can use his tournament scales. I think we will probably use Brandon's scale. Thanks for the offer though James, may have to take you up on the use of yours if Brandon can't make one of our events or something happens with his scale, it is always good to have a backup.

looks like the vast majority want the winner to get the entire pot. poll will be closing soon, so if you want to vote, don't drag your feet too much longer. once poll closes either me or dwyane will post the official rules.

I am planning on going fishing on D'arbonne second weekend of November can anyone tell me the best place to go and how is the fishing in November up there don't know much about the Lake.

Might try the gathering they have there that very weekend...never met a better bunch of people to help ya out..and they will...there is a thread with the info on it at the top of the la. home page....
