    Headlines don't tell the whole story. It took 6 trips over the last 10 days (7/7 to 7/17) to do that. Fished 4 different areas on this end for a trip high of 16 and a low of one. Trying to play catch up after the eye surgery, but the heat sends me home at noon.

    Good for you. I am about to start fishing after my last final on Wednesday. I might go spend a few days on the lake. You make any of those trips on the river or the bayou?

    Tried the river from De Cane to LA and found it poor. A few in the lake and a few at Little Prairie. Best in the bayou.

    Actually my tries with the cork have been poor. All were caught tight line, but the happy is still the same.

    Water should be looking good south of the bridge due to no rain.

    Hey Mermentau have you been fishing the Mermentau River lately.Been seeing a few fish being caught by mom's neighbor.Not many and size down from what he normally catches.Been out of site and mind for awhile but bout ready to get back to stress therapy (fishing) and curious about the Mermentau.

    Was up there Monday and caught 4. I gave them to some guys that had caught none, but had other fish given to them. Didn't see much positive going on and not many trying. Lot's of algae on top and little fish feeding on it. It's going to get good, but seems like it's not happening anywhere right now.
